Places To Experience - Our Mission and Purpose
Background and Mission
I have traveled all over the world and have included over 200 articles on this site about places I have experienced. You can review these or our featured "places" you may not have considered as part of your next experience! The initial focus of our site is to promote bed and breakfasts, but we will add other great places to experience like restaurants and night clubs as we build our database.
Features and Benefits
We have over 12,000 bed and breakfasts featured on our website right now and will be adding more as we find them. Use this site to quickly find your next get away by searching for places by state, city or by name. If you know of a business that you think should be featured, please contact us and we will include that business on our website. We are currently focusing on US bed and breakfasts because the US dollar has lost so much value and we are finding so much more travel into the US from other countries. Businesses from any industry that benefits from tourism can benefit right now if they open their doors to travelers and advertise the value that they offer. There is a huge opportunity right now for the tourist industry to get new customers from around the world.
What Makes Us Different
One of the key differences between this site and other sites is that we focus on the "experience" and not just the information. We know that when you have time to spend away from home, you are looking for something new and unique. Visiting Bed and Breakfasts is the perfect way to experience the local culture in different areas, and most offer a very unique local flavor.
Also, we are primarily using social media and our network of fans to promote this site, which is very different from the way most sites advertise. Social media advertising is the "New Word Of Mouth" and word spreads quickly. People that find our site on social media sites completely bypass the search engines, marginalizing the value of search engine marketing, just as search engines did to traditional advertising about 10 years ago.
We also allow you to bypass the middle man and get in touch with the bed and breakfasts directly. We have found that people are generally paying more using discount sites than when they booking directly. I don't want to name names, but when you see national ad campaigns for how you can save money booking your vacation through their discount site, think about where the money comes from to pay for those ads. My personal experience has taught me that I get the best prices when I book directly. You might want to compare prices sometime. Cutting out these big business middle men also helps the small businesses.
